September 11, 1960:The first baby to be baptized was Thomas W. Mills
September 25, 1960: Just 20 days after blessing the new parish of Precious Blood, Bishop Francis R Cotton passed away.
October 24, 1960: The first wedding at Precious Blood was Jake Armando Valdez and Mary Hettinger
January 28, 1961: Elizabeth Mae Devins became the first convert received into Precious Blood Parish
May 14, 1961: The first two children to make their First Communion are Charlene Meadows and Susan Regal
March 10, 1961: The Most Reverend Henry J Soenneker was appointed the second bishop of Owensboro. He retired on June 30, 1982 and passed away on September 24, 1987
March 27, 1963: The Reverend Clarence Pettit became the second pastor of the parish.
July 16, 1963: Bishop Henry J Soenneker extended the Precious Blood Parish boundaries to include Sims subdivision moving some members from Saint Mary Magdalene to Precious Blood.
October 23, 1982: The Most Reverend John J. McRaith was appointed the 3rd Bishop of Owensboro. Bishop McRaith retired on January 5, 2009
1983-1987: First Pastoral Associate was Sr. Barbara Ann Peterson
May 11, 1985: Father Terry Devine, a member of Precious Blood, was ordained.
November 14, 1988- March 13, 2020: Penny Blandford became the first Parish Manager
June 12, 1916 Helen Schwartz held the distinction of being the oldest member of our parish. Helen was a member of Precious Blood from 1963-2019 and was loved by all who knew her. She passed away at the age of 103 on November 13th, 2019
April 3, 2005: Dedication of the newly renovated Church
June 19, 2006 - September 25,2015: Precious Blood Day Care operated in the former school building
February 10, 2010: Bishop Medley was ordained as the fourth bishop of the Diocese of Owensboro
