ADVENT DAY OF PRAYER
Prepare for the coming of Christ with an Advent Day of Prayer on Saturday, December 7th from 9:00am - 1:00pm at Mount St. Joseph Conference & Retreat Center. Advent is that spiritual season that sneaks in between Thanksgiving and Christmas when we might be busy with other things. Yet, if we pause, we can discover Advent's blessed gifts... illuminations symbolized in the Advent candles that can guide us for the whole year. The presenter is Charlie Martin, a pastoral counselor/marriage and family therapist from St. Mary & John Parish, Evansville IN.
Parishioners are asked to take an ornament, purchase the gift, return it wrapped with original ornament to know what the gift is and what family it belongs to. Gifts need to be returned to Church or the Parish Office by the weekend of December 14th & 15th. It is VERY important that they be turned in by the deadline to allow us time to sort and deliver to families.
We will gladly accept any donations to help with additional families in need. Donations can be brought by the Parish Office Monday through Friday, 8:00am - 2:00pm or dropped in the collection basket at church - Attention: Penny
