To celebrate the National Eucharistic Revival initiated by the United States Catholic Bishops Conference, Bishop Medley and the Diocesan Eucharistic Revival Committee of our diocese have developed a small group series titled Acts 2:42. This scripture verse says, "They devoted themselves to the teaching of the Apostles, the communal life, the breaking of the bread and prayer." It is our plan to return to this early Church focus and to offer Adult Faith Formation to help us grow in our Eucharistic Theology and Spirituality this year. In addition, this will allow our parishes to develop close Christian communities where everyone can belong and feel connected to the parish.
Sessions will meet on the 4th Thursday of the month for two hours - 6:00pm to 8:00pm, September through May of 2024 (excluding December) for nine sessions total. The first session will be on Thursday, September 28. Each participant will receive a booklet with the readings and discussion questions for each session and Bishop Medley will serve as the "Chief Catechist" for the diocese as he will have a video message for each of the nine sessions.
Deacon Jay W. VanHoosier will facilitate the sessions and refreshments will be provided.
Please register by calling the parish office by September 1st. We hope to see you there!
